Abstract

The use of electric vehicles (EVs) has been rapidly growing, encompassing both fully electric and converted models. A key component of EVs is the battery. This study focused on designing and testing a battery pack for a converted EV named BEATRIX, employing both analytical and experimental methods. The battery, constructed with lithium-ion cells and equipped with a smart management system, achieves a capacity of approximately 72-83V and 19.2Ah. It measures roughly 120mm x 120mm x 330mm and weighs about 5 kg. Testing results indicate that during the discharging process, the voltage and capacity decrease to 75V and 11.5Ah, respectively, while the electric current remains stable at around 4.83A and the temperature is held constant at 32°C. During the charging process, the voltage and capacity increase to 82.2V and 17Ah. Initially, the electric current stabilizes at around 4.38A for 10 to 70 minutes, then gradually decreases to 1.8A at the 100-minute mark, with the temperature remaining steady at 33°C
