Penerapan Terapi Cermin Untuk Meningkatkan Kekuatan Otot Pada Pasien Stroke Non Hemoragik

Abstract


Stroke menyebabkan kelemahan anggota gerak karena adanya kerusakan pada pembuluh darah diotak. Kelemahan tersebut bisa berdampak pada aktifitas sehari-hari, bahkan mengalami komplikasi seperti kontraktur dan atropi otot jika tidak diberikan tindakan yang tepat. Terapi cermin merupakan salah satu alternatif tindakan mandiri untuk meningkatkan kekuatan otot pada kasus stroke yang mengalami kelemahan anggota gerak. Studi kasus ini dilakukan kepada 3 pasien dengan stroke yang memiliki kekuatan otot 2-4, lama menderita stroke minimal 1 tahun dan usia 20-60 tahun. Pasien diberikan tindakan terapi cermin selama 15 menit dengan jeda istirahat 5 menit setiap sesinya. Terapi dilakukan selama 7 hari dan diukur kekuatan ototnya. Hasil didapatkan semua pasien mengalami peningkatan kekuatan otot masing-masing awal dan akhir, pasien pertama dan ketiga dari 3 ke 4, dan pasien kedua dari 2 ke 3. Semua pasien memiliki Riwayat penyakit hipertensi. Tindakan terapi cermin bisa digunakan menjadi salah satu tindakan mandiri pasien dirumah untuk meningkatkan kekuatan otot
