Artikel ini membahas pentingnya penggunaan teknologi informasi dalam pendidikan
kewarganegaraan di era digital. Integrasi teknologi informasi dalam pendidikan
dapat meningkatkan akses, memungkinkan pembelajaran yang lebih menarik, dan
mendukung pemahaman konsep-konsep kewarganegaraan. Media sosial, seperti
TikTok, juga dapat digunakan sebagai alat efektif untuk menyebarkan informasi
pendidikan kewarganegaraan kepada generasi muda. Namun, ada tantangan seperti
kesenjangan akses dan literasi digital yang perlu diatasi. Pemanfaatan teknologi
informasi juga memiliki dampak positif dan negatif dalam kehidupan demokrasi,
termasuk perluasan partisipasi dan penyebaran hoaks. Oleh karena itu, literasi digital
yang kuat sangat penting dalam memanfaatkan teknologi informasi dengan bijak
dalam pendidikan kewarganegaraan dan proses demokrasi.

Abstract
This article discusses the importance of using information technology in civic education
education in the digital era. The integration of information technology in education can
improve access, enable more engaging learning and support the understanding of civic
concepts. Social media, such as TikTok, can also be used as an effective tool to
disseminate civic education information to the younger generation. However, there are
challenges such as access gaps and digital literacy that need to be addressed. The use of information technology also has both positive and negative impacts in democratic life, including the expansion of participation and the spread of hoaxes. Therefore, strong digital literacy is essential in utilizing information technology wisely in civic education. wisely in civic education and the democratic process.
