Abstract
This study aims to identify the obstacles faced by students in participating in the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program. The approach used is qualitative. This study involved 8 students as research subjects by means of interviews. Data analysis was carried out through thematic analysis using the Millles and Huberman model. The findings revealed several significant obstacles, namely concerns about converting grades, fear of losing important materials, financial concerns, and anxiety about being placed in an unsuitable location that hindered adaptation to the new environment. The study concluded that these challenges require improvements in the MBKM program, including better curriculum design, increased financial support, and improved coordination with relevant stakeholders to ensure successful student participation in the program.
