PROFIL PROSES METAKOGNITIF MAHASISWA PGSD DITINJAU DARI GAYA BERPIKIR

Abstract


Metakognitif dapat diidentifikasi ketika seseorang memecahkan sebuah masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses metakognitif mahasiswa calon guru sekolah dasar dalam memecahkan masalah matematika yang ditinjau dari gaya berpikir mereka. Desain penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui tes pemecahan masalah dan wawancara semi terstruktur mendalam. Sebanyak 67 mahasiswa PGSD mengisi angket gaya berpikir kemudian dikelompokkan menjadi gaya berpikir sekuensial abstrak, sekuensial konkret, acak abstrak dan acak konkret. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (a) proses penyelesaian masalah melibatkan semua tahapan metakognisi yaitu engagement, transformation-formulation,implementation, dan internalization secara berulang, siklik dan acak (b) terdapat perbedaan pada karakteristik pemecahan masalah mahasiswa pada masing-masing gaya berpikir (c) gaya berpikir sekuensial abstrak cenderung berpikir konsep dan menemukan informasi penting pada masalah, gaya berpikir sekuensial konkret menyerap informasi apa adanya dan tidak menyelesaikan hambatan yang ditemui dalam pemecahan masalah, gaya berpikir acak abstrak melihat masalah dengan utuh, menggunakan strategi pemisalan dan akan melakukan refleksi ketika menemukan hambatan, sedangkan gaya berpikir acak konkret berusaha untuk menemukan strategi baru dalam memecahkan masalah dan menggunakan gambar untuk melihat kembali jawabannya.
