KAJIAN ETNOBOTANI TANAMAN OBAT DI PASAR DAYAK KALIMANTAN UTARA

Abstract


Kalimantan Utara memiliki keunikan jenis tanaman obat terutama yang banyak digunakan oleh Suku Dayak. Salah satu lokasi di mana masyarakat banyak membeli bahan pengobatan herbal adalah di Pasar Dayak, Kota Tarakan, Kalimantan Utara. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menginventarisir jenis-jenis tanaman obat yang dijual oleh para pedagang di Pasar Dayak Kalimantan Utara. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan melaporkan bagaimana pengunaan masing-masing tanaman sesuai kebiasaan yang dilakukan oleh Suku Dayak maupun oleh suku-suku lain yang memanfaatkan berbagai tanaman obat dari Pasar Dayak.  Penelitian ini menggunakan Metode Deskriptif dengan Pendekatan Kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur. Dari hasil kajian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat 25 spesies tanaman obat di Pasar Dayak, dan dapat dikelompokkan dalam 11 famili. Jenis penyakit yang dapat diobati meliputi kanker, tumor, benjolan, kista, diabetes, hipertensi, demam, sakit perut, dan lainnya. Bagian tanaman yang digunakan meliputi rimpang, batang, daun, buah, biji, umbi, kulit kayu, dan bunga.
